  6. Present in writing petitions, resolutions/or ordinances, proclamations:
  • Recognize Bill Nation’s service to Coroner’s Office.
  • Adopt Ordinance for Public Transportation in Christian County during 7/1/2019 through 6/30/2020 and Intergovernmental Agreement with Shelby County to administer the program for Christian County.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

Highway/Building/Grounds/Environmental/ Zoning/ Welfare—01/29/2019

  1. Open bids for Jail Expansion .
  2. Motion to accept bid and refer to the Finance Committee.
  3. Approve Taylorville Main Street 2019 events on Courthouse grounds.
  4. Updates: Lighting projects
  5. Any other matters that properly come before the committee and/or comments or questions from the public.

 

Executive/Personnel/Liquor/Legislative—02/13/2019

  1. Review, discuss and approve Liquor License fee increases.
  2. Discuss and review compiled Liquor License Ordinance.
  3. Approve renewal of current license holders effective April 1, 2019 through March 3, 2020.
  4. Review and inform members of the benefits of UCCI (United Counties Council of Illinois) and NaCo (National Association of Counties).
  5. Personnel issues and/or personnel/other county policies/procedures, personnel or labor updates or any other matters or referrals that properly come before the committee and/or questions from the public and/or executive session for any personnel issue.

 

Audit/Finance/Purchasing—02/14/2019

  1. Approve February claims as presented.
  2. Review, discuss, and/or approve bid for Jail Expansion project as forwarded from Building Committee.
  3. Discuss conversion cost of judicial email system.
  4. Approve courthouse lighting retrofit proposal including Ameren incentives.
  5. Discuss and review Enterprise Zone.
  6. Referrals from any other committee, any other matters that are properly brought before the Committee and/or questions from the public.

 

 

  1. NEW BUSINESS:
  • Motion to authorize Board Chairman to sign and execute the business agreements with potential Enterprise Zone companies with approval of the States Attorney.
  • Motion to waive the certification fee from the companies making the agreements with the County, City of Taylorville and Christian County Economic Development (with stipulation of waiver from the other two entities).
  • Motion to approve the Board Chairman to execute the agreement with WCR Enterprise, LTD. to prepare the new Enterprise Zone
